Asset tags allow you to print out a bar code sticker and stick it on the item you are servicing. Then you can scan this bar code to quickly pull up it’s details. To use this feature:

Turn on Service Item Tracking by going to Settings > Admin > Turn On/Off Features > Keep track of Service Items

Go to Settings > Dictionary and rename Item to Service to what you are actually servicing. In this example we will call it an Asset

Create your service request as you normally would.

In that service request you can now create an Asset

Save your service request

At the bottom click Print > Asset Label

Using a Dymo printer print out your tag and stick on the asset

Now you can scan the bar code under Assets from your main menu
